On July 17th, AASO - Associação de Apoio à Sustentabilidade da Óptica, in collaboration with Universidade de Aveiro, conducted a visit to the Shamir factory in Vilar.
The purpose of this visit was to gain a detailed understanding of the ophthalmic lens production process and the resulting waste. This analysis aims to prepare for a future study on material recycling.
